Market Briefing

  • Aditya Infotech's stock is buoyed by a ₹1,500 crore fundraising plan despite challenges from high input costs.
  • Analysts foresee a 10-20% upside, with the company maintaining its Ebitda margin guidance for FY27.

Aditya Infotech's stock has shown resilience with a planned ₹1,500 crore fundraising initiative, despite facing challenges from elevated electronic component prices. Analysts predict a potential 10-20% upside in the stock, which closed at ₹3,476.3 on Friday.

The company's profitability took a hit in the June quarter due to high input costs, causing a nearly 16% drop in net profit and a 330 basis point contraction in Ebitda margin compared to the previous quarter. Despite these challenges, Aditya Infotech has maintained its Ebitda margin guidance at 14-15% for FY27, although achieving this target may be difficult given the 60% import share in its sourcing mix.

Aditya Infotech's portfolio includes cameras, video recorders, biometric and access control products, and mobile surveillance solutions. The implementation of Standardisation Testing and Quality Certification (STQC) norms in April 2025 has been a significant growth driver, limiting sales of non-compliant Chinese products and expanding the market for Indian manufacturers. Consequently, the market share of large global companies dropped to over 16% in FY26 from 27% the previous year.

In FY26, Aditya Infotech's revenue surged by 35.6% to ₹4,220.8 crore, Ebitda increased by 124% to ₹579 crore, and net profit rose by 165.7% to ₹492.7 crore. The company's stock has gained 128% in 2026, with its market cap reaching ₹41,124 crore, up from ₹7,900 crore at its IPO last July. The price-earnings multiple has expanded to 86 from 68 during this period.

In response to rising costs, the company has increased product prices by 15-20%, which is below the FY27 indicative raise of 25%. Efforts to source components locally are expected to impact financials meaningfully in two to three quarters.

The latest qualified institutional placement to boost capacity utilization, currently at 85-90%, is timely and aims to enhance revenue visibility amid sustained demand. Analysts maintain a 'buy' call on the stock.

Background

Aditya Infotech's recent financial performance highlights the impact of regulatory changes, particularly the STQC norms, which have reshaped the competitive landscape in the IP-driven surveillance systems market. The company's strategic initiatives, including local sourcing and capacity expansion, are critical in navigating current challenges.

Looking ahead, investors will closely monitor Aditya Infotech's ability to manage input costs and achieve its Ebitda margin targets. The success of its fundraising efforts and local sourcing strategy will be key factors influencing future performance.
