Vanguard Fund's portfolio in the Indian equity market has shown remarkable growth, with its holdings in 47 BSE-listed companies valued at Rs 96,715 crore as of August 28, 2026. This marks a significant 46% increase from Rs 66,403 crore in the December 2025 quarter, according to June 2026 quarter data.
A recent analysis by ETMarkets highlights that 11 key stocks in Vanguard's portfolio have delivered returns ranging from 25% to 190% in CY26, with three stocks emerging as multibaggers. Notably, MTAR Technologies has surged 189%, Sansera Engineering 130%, and TD Power Systems 115% so far in CY26. Vanguard's strategic additions during the March 2026 quarter have further strengthened its portfolio.
In the June 2026 quarter, Vanguard Funds held a 1.02% stake in MTAR Technologies, valued at approximately Rs 220 crore. The fund also held a 1.01% stake in Sansera Engineering, valued at Rs 244 crore, and a 2.1% stake in TD Power Systems, valued at Rs 243 crore.
Other notable performers include Sona BLW Precision Forgings with a 70% surge, Restaurant Brands Asia and VA Tech Wabag both with a 60% increase, and Navin Fluorine International advancing by 44%. Vanguard's stake in these companies ranges from 1.03% to 2.1%, reflecting its diversified investment strategy.
Vanguard added three new stocks to its portfolio in the June 2026 quarter: Sammaan Capital with a 2.6% stake, Mphasis with a 1% stake, and MTAR Technologies with a 1% stake.
