Leading the gains on Sensex were shares of Tata Steel, ICICI Bank, IndiGo, Asian Paints, Trent, Bharti Airtel, and Tech Mahindra, each gaining around 1%. Conversely, Power Grid, Axis Bank, and Adani Ports saw declines of nearly 1%, leading the losses. Sector-wise, Nifty Metal gained 0.45%, while Nifty Auto and Nifty FMCG experienced marginal losses.
US President Donald Trump expressed optimism about the ongoing negotiations with Iran, suggesting that the talks were progressing well. Despite the prolonged conflict in the Middle East, Trump's comments have injected a sense of hope into the markets.

Anand James, Chief Market Strategist at Geojit Investments, pointed out that Nifty's supports have remained intact, suggesting potential for a strong upward move. He identified 24,775 as a critical level to breach for a breakout, with 24,550 as a downside marker for the day.
